Colo Solutions To Provide Carrier-Neutral Colocation Facilities To Axient Communications, Inc.
Axient selects Colo Solutions to house content delivery nodes for its OctaneSM media-quality experience for Internet users
ATLANTA, GEORGIA…November 2, 2000…Colo Solutions™, the leader in providing Carrier-Neutral Colocation™ facilities for next generation Service Providers in prime telecom locations of tier-2 and tier-3 metropolitan cities, today announced an agreement to provide colocation space in the company’s Louisville, Kentucky and Knoxville, Tennessee facilities to Axient Communications, Inc., a premier provider of media-quality Internet experiences.
Axient’s next-generation network has been designed to deliver media-quality content locally, rather than across the congested Internet, resulting in a media-quality experience for end-users with broadband connections. Content is delivered from Axient's local servers through the access provider's last-mile router directly to the end-user. Axient recently introduced its OctaneSMmedia-quality Web experience for broadband Internet users, which offers full-screen, full-speed, high-resolution video, clear stereo sound and fast text and graphics.
