Colo Solutions is an N+1 data center at 100 W. Lucerne Circle, offering colocation, private cloud, virtual desktops and edge computing. The company has been carrier-neutral from the start — 1997 — which in this industry is less a policy than an accumulated position.
Why this building
The founders had designed and built data centers across the country before starting Colo Solutions, and they chose this location for a specific reason: the building was already the de facto telecom hotel for the region, sitting at the intersection of multiple fiber routes. Over the following decades, carriers and providers consolidated into the space.
That is why the facility is one of the most connected in central Florida, and it is the one thing about this company that cannot be replicated by building something newer. A modern facility can match the power and the cooling. It cannot retroactively become the address Orlando's carriers already ran fiber to.

How the business grew
Colocation came first. Over time customers asked for infrastructure without the hardware, so the company added virtual desktop hosting and virtual data center environments — aimed specifically at organizations reducing capital equipment cost that were not willing to move into public cloud. That remains the clearest description of who we are for.
Colo Solutions is small and deliberately so. You get people who know your deployment, and a phone number that reaches them. The trade-off is honest: we are one facility in one city, not a national footprint.
It has also been family-owned since 1997 — the same owners for the whole of it. That is worth saying because the rest of this industry has spent a decade consolidating: facilities change hands, get folded into a portfolio, and the people who knew your deployment leave. If you are signing a multi-year contract, who owns the building on year three is a fair question, and ours has the same answer it has had since we opened.
How the facility is run
The facility is unstaffed by design and secured by credential — proximity card plus PIN at every door, a mantrap at the entrance, uniquely keyed cabinets and recorded video with 90-day retention. Power, transfer switches, batteries, generators, cooling, temperature, humidity, fire and water detection are monitored continuously by building systems that alert our staff, who respond and who are on call around the clock.
Those controls are not just described here. They are in scope of a SOC 2 Type 2 examination covering 2024-10-01 to 2025-09-30 with an unqualified opinion from 360 Advanced, Inc.
